Service, community and competition are themes very much alive on the SJU campus as well as in the world in which our graduates live, work and volunteer. The Real Estate and Construction Chapter
of the SJU Alumni Association pays special tribute to alumni who honor their ties to Saint Joseph’s through their work and loyalty to the University.
The Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. Leader of the Year Award is presented to a leader in the field of real estate/construction who has demonstrated either a lifetime of remarkable success or accomplishments or a project of renown. The recipient has also shown outstanding loyal dedication and service to Saint Joseph's University. The award is named in honor of SJU’s 26th president, who spearheaded the acquisition of what is today known as the James J. Maguire ’58 Campus and oversaw numerous campus renovations during his tenure.
The Inaugural Leader of the Year Award was presented in December 2010 to Anthony A. (Tony) Nichols Sr. ’67 at the Chapter’s fourth annual Christmas luncheon. The event was attended by more than 200 alumni, friends and leaders of the region's real estate industry. This signature event has continued to grow each year. The most recent luncheon was attended by over 350 professionals. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities for this event here or contact Maura Slatowski in the Advancement Office.
