The tradition and passion for knowledge and service found among Saint Joseph’s students are acknowledged formally each year by the Medical Chapter of the SJU Alumni Association. Through two prestigious awards, the Chapter recognizes alumni in the field of medicine who have made a lasting impact in their profession and communities.
 2012 Recipient - Sheila E. Davis, D.O. '83
The Edward C. Bradley, S.J., M.D. ’51 Medical Alumni Award – named in honor of a highly respected physician and past recipient of The Reverend Clarence E. Shaffrey, S.J. Award. This award, founded in 2008, honors an alumnus or alumna in recognition of his or her loyalty and dedication to the mission of Saint Joseph’s through outstanding service to others, scholarship or research. The inaugural award was presented with Fr. Bradley in attendance.
