The Alumni Gala is the signature event of Saint Joseph’s Alumni Association and an opportunity to spend a night in downtown Philadelphia with old and new friends.
 At this annual event, the University presents the Shield of Loyola Award, the most prestigious honor bestowed by the Alumni Association. The recipient is a distinguished alumnus or alumna who has had remarkable success in his or her profession, whose life reflects the values of St. Ignatius Loyola, and who has demonstrated unparalleled loyalty to Saint Joseph's University. This year SJU will present the Shield of Loyola to Michael J. Hagan ’85 at the 32nd annual Alumni Gala on Friday, November 2, 2012. Register to attend here.
Both the Hogan Award and the Ignatius Award will also be presented at the Alumni Gala. The 2012 Rev. Joseph S. Hogan, S.J., Award, will be presented to Joseph J. Feeney, S.J., and the Ignatius Award will be presented to Elizabeth Anne Ford ’99, ’00.
