Saint Joseph’s graduates who have pursued careers in real estate and
construction are making connections within their relatively new and
flourishing professional chapter. The Real Estate and Construction
Alumni Chapter is paving the way for
affinity and shared-interest programming at SJU.
Annual Holiday Lunch & Award - Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Save the date for the 7th Annual Christmas Luncheon and the Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. Leader of the Year Award hosted by the Real Estate & Construction Alumni Chapter. The event will take place at the Union League in Philadelphia.
We plan and host several events each year to connect
alumni professionally and personally, with the University and with
current students interested in careers in our industry. Our objectives
are to:
- provide SJU alumni with opportunities to network with peers in the real estate and construction industry
- encourage alumni to become more involved at SJU on a variety of levels
- acknowledge those who
have demonstrated the highest professional standards and practices
through careers of remarkable success or projects of renown
- encourage and mentor SJU students considering a career in real estate and construction
- work with the
University administration, specifically the Haub School of Business, to
create industry-specific educational opportunities for both
undergraduates and alumni
Alumni Helping Students
The chapter provides a range of opportunities for
alumni and students to get to know one another and to share best
practices. As a Saint
Joseph’s alum who is practicing in the industry, you may want to:
- participate as a guest lecturer
- attend a career fair to staff an Alumni Chapter table
- host students at our Annual Christmas Luncheon as a guest of a corporate sponsor
- serve as a mentor or provide opportunities for students or young alumni to shadow you. (Complete this form to volunteer as a mentor.)
Support the Real Estate & Construction Chapter
The Chapter has established a Real Estate Fund to support the activities of the chapter including:
- faculty and academic development
- student projects and support
- alumni and campus engagement
