About the Chapter
Saint Joseph’s Medical
Alumni Chapter is committed to enhancing the experience for
alumni and current students pursuing careers in the health sciences.
They are a principled and busy group of graduates, hosting several
events each year to
promote the responsible study and practice of the healing art, serve as a source of
information, support, guidance and education. They assist in advancing healthcare related studies at the University through expertise sharing, collaboration and philanthropy.
The chapter plans and hosts several events
throughout the year. The Medical Alumni Chapter honors fellow professionals with Medical Alumni Awards,
including the Edward C. Bradley, S.J. ’51 Medical Alumni Award and the Reverend Clarence E. Shaffrey, S.J. Award.
In addition to the awards, Medical Alumni events include professional
networking dinners, speakers, industry panels, and social events. Medical Alumni connect with students events such as Dinner with a Doc, and through the Medical Alumni Student Awards. Each spring, the Medical Alumni Chapter also hosts the Pathophysiology Lecture Series on Thursdays at lunch for current students to hear from experts in a variety of specialties.
How to get involved
Alumni can participate in a variety of ways, including
signing up to receive communication about upcoming events, becoming a
mentor, getting involved as a chapter officer, and helping the group
grow by inviting former classmates to attend upcoming events and connect
with the chapter.
