Saint Joseph’s graduates who have pursued careers in financial services are making connections through the Financial Services Alumni Chapter. Established by co-chairs Joe McLaughlin ’81 and Bob Bowman ’81 in 2010, the chapter encourages alumni to connect professionally and personally,
with the University and with current students interested in the financial industry. With over 2,500 alumni working in the industry, the chapter continues to grow each year, collaborating with other professional affinity chapters (including the Haub School Alumni Chapter) to provide opportunities for alumni to stay connected.
The chapter plans and hosts several events
throughout the year. Past events included professional networking dinners, speakers, industry panels, and social events such as Phillies games, SJU basketball game watches and pregame receptions. Alumni also are encouraged to participate in signature SJU events like HawkFest, Global Community Day, and the Alumni Gala.
How to get involved
Alumni can participate in a variety of ways, including signing up to receive communication about upcoming events, becoming a mentor, getting involved as a chapter officer, and helping the group grow by inviting former classmates to attend upcoming events and connect with the chapter.
