Linda Cliatt-Wayman, M.S. ’92 graduated from Saint Josephs University with a masters in education and is principal of Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia, Pa.

After 20 years as a classroom teacher, Wayman decided to become a coach for new teachers and then became a principal in 2003. Two years later, she was asked to head Rhodes High School, where she is credited with moving the school from 3% and 9% proficiency in math and reading as measured by the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) to greater than 50% in both areas and for ensuring a 94% college acceptance rate. During 2010-2012, Wayman served as assistant superintendent for all 52 of Philadelphias high schools.
In 2013, Wayman decided to return to the neighborhood she grew up in to lead the merger of three neighborhood high schools. Her efforts to establish Strawberry Mansion High School as a safe academic institute were featured on ABCs “Nightline” and “World News Report.”
