6 - 8 p.m. Sunset Welcome Dinner

Begin the weekend with an incredible view of the sunset, while catching up with Hawks at the LaPlaya Resort Tiki Bar. $60 per person.

Friday, February 10

8:30 a.m. Breakfast Buffet at the edge of Vanderbilt Bay

Start your day by indulging in a casual buffet breakfast. $35 per person.

9:30 a.m. Curator-led “Inside the Homes” Tour of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates

Meet at the LaPlaya Resort lobby to board transportation to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates where you will be treated to an exclusive VIP experience inside the normally closed areas of Thomas Edison’s “Seminole Lodge” and Henry Ford’s “The Mangoes.” Tours are led by Edison Ford curatorial staff including the curator, registrar and archivist. After the tour, enjoy a riverside lunch aside the Caloosahatchee River. After some shopping, you will be back at LaPlaya by 4 p.m. This tour is limited to 20 guests, so please reserve your spot early. $100 per person.

9:30-10:30 a.m. Hawks Golf Outing

Women’s and men’s foursomes will tee off at Esplanade Naples Golf & Country Club located at 8912 Torre Vista Drive in Naples. Continental breakfast will be available as well as box lunches on the course and a post-golf reception. $160 per person.

9:30 a.m. Lifelong Learning Opportunity - Ethical Decision-Making in Bioethics: a Case Study Approach

Join Peter A. Clark, S.J., Ph.D., Professor and Director of Institute of Clinical Bioethics, for a crash course in moral principles and how they serve as a basis for making medical decisions. Various case studies will be shown as the practical dimensions of ethical decision-making are explored. Complimentary.

10:45 a.m. Lifelong Learning Opportunity - Neuroendocrine Consequences of Paternal Behavior for Developing Offspring

Elizabeth A. Becker, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Psychology will delve into her research with the California mouse on brain mechanisms underlying the transmission of social behavior from father to offspring. A number of studies involving current undergraduate and graduate researchers will also be featured. Complimentary.

2:30 p.m. Men's Basketball Game Watch

Gather at Bokampers Bar & Grill to watch the SJU Hawks take on the UMAS Minutemen. Bokampers is four miles from LaPlaya at the Galleria (8990 Fontana Del Sol Way, Naples, FL). We have a larger room this year, so bring your friends to cheer on the Hawks. $20 per person.

6 p.m. Beachside Cocktails and Dinner

A spectacular sunset is expected at 6:16 p.m., so don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy casual conversation, cocktails and dinner beachfront at LaPlaya Resort. The waves lapping at the sand and roaring fire pits will provide the perfect backdrop for a delicious buffet dinner and a relaxing evening. $150 per person.
