To care more. To do more. Members of the Magis
Society are the recognized leaders who aspire to these pursuits to
elevate Saint Joseph’s to a new level of achievement and recognition.
The University relies on these key contributors for their most generous
support, advice and counsel. Members of the Magis Society:
- Support the University’s highest priorities with an annual gift of $25,000 or more
- Further the mission and vision of the University
- Interact with the President by participating in specialized Magis programming
- Demonstrate a commitment to our Jesuit tradition of excellence with a conscience
Dedicated Spirit. Meaningful Intellect. Greater Purpose.
A Saint Joseph’s University education is not just about
being good; it is about always becoming better. Aspiring for the more,
the Magis, as Saint Ignatius of Loyola termed it, is one of the University’s most fundamental traits.
Magis is more than a giving society. It is an
opportunity to gather, to discuss and to provide insight to the
President of the University with fellow loyal members of the Saint
Joseph’s community. It requires a profound and heartfelt commitment by
uniquely dedicated individuals who wish to help the University advance
its Catholic, Jesuit mission.
The Magis membership is seen in many ways: in
the form of generous annual financial support, through work with the
President to define the role of philanthropy at the University, and in
the achievement of specific University plans and objectives. It is
discourse that is informed, deliberate and truly Ignatian.
