New York Council

Among Saint Joseph’s most visible and forward-looking leaders are the members of the New York Council. Committed to raising the profile of SJU in and around the greater New York metro area, the Council provides career development opportunities for students, creates networking opportunities for professional peers, and supports SJU through generous individual and corporate philanthropy. Alumni, parents and friends of the University serve on the Council.

Council members engage with students, faculty members and University leaders to provide input and help shape SJU priorities. A key role of the Council is to provide internships, job recruitment and mentoring services to current students while supporting the University philanthropically.

The Council welcomes members who are:
  • Alumni, current or former parents or friends of Saint Joseph’s University
  • At least 15 years removed from the University, with exception given to MBA graduates
  • Leaders and decision-makers within represented industries
  • Committed to a leadership-level gift annually
