Parents Program

Parents of current and former students are valued partners as Saint Joseph’s continues to deliver on its promise of providing a transformational academic experience. The tradition and passion for service and community that we encourage in our students we have also been able to count on from their parents, who give to their children and SJU in so many ways.

Choose Your Role in University Life

As a parent of a current or past student, you may be hoping to get involved with the University that has given so much to your son or daughter. Our Hawk Ambassadors program, staffed by committed alumni and parent volunteers, offers opportunities to serve as contacts for new students and hosts for parent-centered events in various regions throughout the country. Whether you have much time to volunteer or just a little, it may provide an ideal way to give back.

Or, if you’re hoping to get involved by providing career mentoring or internships for current students, we’d like to work with you, too. Among other options, our Hawk2Hawk Network welcomes parents and friends to alumni events as members of a powerful SJU community of professionals and entrepreneurs.

A Crucial Way to Give Back

As a parent of a Saint Joseph’s student or alum, you can choose to play many roles beyond that of supporting your own son or daughter. As part of the Parents Program, an executive council of parents engages other parents to participate in academic leadership and in increasing support for Parent Giving through The Saint Joseph’s Fund.

By designating a particular activity or program for your contribution, you will have a direct impact on today's students, including your son or daughter. To support the Parents Fund by making an online gift, visit
